Social Innovation Programs

Our social innovation programs emphasize real world problem solving, social entrepreneurship, design for community, and youth activism.

Programs can be launched as elective classes, after schools clubs,  or summer courses.

Partner with us as K-12 or university leaders, educators, and student innovators that will solve the world's most urgent social and environmental problems. Support our movement as government partners, education advocates, donors, and supporters of youth empowerment.

Build your Own Social Startup

(The BOSS Program)

The BOSS program is not just a course, but an incubator and real world launchpad for student-run startups.

Students develop entrepreneurial mindset to ideate, pitch, prototype, and launch their own organizations driven by social missions. Young social entrepreneurs learn to develop strong teams and business models, empathy with customers and users, and a strategy for optimal sustainable impact.

Student entrepreneurs develop genuine empathy with customers and users, practice the techniques of rapid prototyping and experimentation, and learn from constant feedback by testing their social business ideas with real world users and community members as much as possible.

The Cambio Design Project

(Student-Led Design Clubs in Schools)

Teens operate Cambio Design Clubs as student led startups and after school clubs. They work with club student members to organize design challenges, workshops & events.

Students become experts in using design thinking for social impact, and collaborate with educators, community, and industry partners to equip young people of all ages with real world problem solving skills.

Students create access to design thinking activities and events by working with other schools, educational innovators, and Cambio Club members across our collaborative network.

Community Design Lab

(An Incubator for Inclusive Community Projects)

Student teams work with community partners to design and propose projects that serve local community needs.

By working closely with organizations and nonprofits in local neighborhoods, students practice humility and empathy by listening to real community members, discovering genuine local problems and needs, and facilitating a radically participatory design process where community members can brainstorm ideas, offer feedback, and vote on the best community projects to prototype and pilot.
