Startup NYCHA has wrapped up an incredible series of workshops— connecting hundreds of NYCHA and Section 8 residents to resources, networks, and real opportunities to launch and grow their businesses.

We couldn’t have done this without the commitment and vision of our partners: Brooklyn Public Library, Start Small Think Big, NYC Boss Up, Oyate Group, Vision Urbana, Queens Community House, Ethical Society of New York, NYC Department of Small Business Services, Hudson Guild, Fulton Community Center, and the New York City Housing Authority.

Inside the Workshops

🔍 Cambio Compass Tool: Participants received personalized roadmaps and resource matches tailored to their entrepreneurial stage.
🛠️ Entrepreneurial Journey Mapping: Attendees identified their business stage—idea, seed, growth, or scale—and got clear next steps.
💡 Design Thinking + Pitching: Participants collaborated on community driven business ideas and pitched them in a mini-incubator setting.
📚 Resource Activation: Everyone was connected to local entrepreneurship resources like NYC Boss Up, Start Small Think Big, SBS, and more!
